Custom Buttons execute an action directly from a record, without navigating elsewhere.
ℹ️ Custom Buttons can be added to Page Layouts in CRM, Marketing, and Custom Apps. This feature is available to Professional and Enterprise customers, but the Lambda button is only available on Enterprise plans.

Creating and adding to a layout
Creating a button and using it are two steps: a button does nothing until it’s added to a Page Layout.
When creating a button, choose a Button Label (Insightly generates the internal Button Name from it), then a Button Display of either Text (a plain text word on the button) or Icon (an image of your choice). Choose the Button Type and enter its details, then click Create Custom Button.
A button does nothing until it’s added to a Page Layout. To add one: go to System Settings > Objects and Fields, select the object, go to Page Layouts and select a layout, then under Available Buttons click and drag your button to the Custom Buttons section of the layout and click Save Layout.
ℹ️ You can create as many buttons per object as you want, but only six can be placed on a single Page Layout, counting both standard and custom buttons.
Editing
Editing a button updates it on every layout it appears on. Go to System Settings > Objects and Fields, select the object, then Custom Buttons.
Deleting
⚠️ Deleting a button removes it from every Page Layout and cannot be undone. Deleted buttons do not appear in the Recycling Bin.
To remove a button from just one layout while keeping it available elsewhere, go to System Settings > Objects and Fields, select the object, go to Page Layouts and select a layout, then click the Custom Button to remove it and click OK on the warning.
