Why am I seeing a free trial when I have a paid account?
Most likely a second account was created by accident.
An Insightly account is a Google Workspace account, an Office 365 account, or a standard account, and the type determines how you sign in. Go to the login page and enter your email address and Insightly password. See Account signup & login.
Which browsers work best?
Insightly recommends the latest version of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox, which are the browsers it regularly tests against.
Recent versions of Microsoft Edge, Safari, and others should work, but are not tested against every Insightly update.
Browser extensions, add-ons, and plugins can affect how any site displays and behaves, Insightly included. Trying the same action in a different browser is the quickest way to tell whether a problem is browser-related.
What happens to inactive free accounts?
⚠️ Inactive free accounts are deleted, and the data cannot be recovered.
Free (Gratis) accounts inactive for at least a year receive an email warning that the account will be deleted in 60 days unless someone signs in. After 60 days the account is deleted automatically.
This affects only free accounts inactive for 365 days or more. Activity is judged on several signals, principally recent sign-ins.
To keep your data, sign in and export it within the 60-day window. Signing in marks the account active again, which resets the clock, so Insightly recommends deleting the account once you have your data rather than leaving it to lapse a second time.
Doing nothing closes the account and deletes the data. Once closed, the account is inaccessible, the data is permanently deleted, nobody else can reach it, and Insightly staff cannot retrieve it.
What changed in the current user interface?
The current interface was originally released in October 2017 and all accounts now run on it. Individual users cannot be moved separately; the interface applies to a whole account.
If you have bookmarked an older login page, the current one is https://login.insightly.com.
Interface layout
Recent activity is no longer on the main home screen by default. It is in the dropdown menu at the top of the home screen.
Object records are organized across three tabs:

What each plan gained
Plus and Legacy. Reorganized system settings for admins. Kanban view for opportunities, projects, and leads, with drag-and-drop between stages. Date/time, auto number, lookup relationship, number, percent, and multi-select dropdown custom fields. Global search across everything, with a performance improvement. Blade view, opening a record in a slide-out panel so the list stays visible. Custom list views with chosen fields and ordering, private or shared. Custom filters on those lists. The import/export sidebar, which also reaches the recycle bin and tags index. Column-header sorting on any field. Follow and unfollow a record with the star icon.
Professional, adding to the above: dashboards on the home screen, custom objects, custom apps, page layouts and assignments including required fields and profile-specific layouts, field dependencies, customizable standard objects, and custom buttons.
Enterprise, adding to both: dynamic page layout rules, Products, Price Books and Quotes, Lambda functions, calculated fields, object validation rules, audit logging through field history tracking, and field level security.
